It requires wisdom to know when healing is needed and courage to take action towards change. You clearly have both since you got this far!

Hi, my name is Lindsay, I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#15845) and EMDR Therapist.

I work with adults and couples, first responders included, faced with challenges related to relationships, trauma, and abuse. I help clients heal painful emotional wounds from the past that still feel alive today and foster healthier patterns of relating to self and others.

From a young age I can recall being drawn to and wanting to help those struggling emotionally when many people feel discomfort by this. For me it feels like the natural path, and there is nothing more rewarding than to see clients gain some footing and build on their resilience amidst the chaos they feel!

Along with the genuine care I bring into work with clients, my practice is rooted in creating an emotionally safe, trusting, and non-pathologizing space for clients where the healing work can happen. Therapy can feel scary but it doesn’t have to be, let’s find humour along the way too!

The ten years prior to starting private practice I worked in various roles within the community including Stop the Violence Counselling at Burnaby Family Life, Crisis Counselling & Community Education with the Suicide Prevention Centre of BC, and Crisis Intervention Case Management for the Vancouver Police Department Victim Services Unit.

During those years I completed a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology at Adler University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Psychology at Simon Fraser University. Post grad I received specialized training in Trauma Informed Practice, EMDR, and Emotion Focused Therapy.

For those eligible for benefits, I’m registered with the Crime Victim Assistance Program.
